SOVEREIGNTY
WE BELIEVE THAT GOD RULES WITH ABSOLUTE CONTROL OVER ALL CREATION.
God’s plans can never be thwarted, and nothing takes Him by surprise. This sovereignty does not remove the responsibility of the creature, nor does it make God the author of sin. For His own purpose, God, in His grace and mercy, has chosen to redeem a people to Himself, delivering them from sin and death. Salvation is an act of God, declared and received through faith in the word of God. God saves unresponsive sinners – it is a work planned by Him, completed by Him and guaranteed by Him.
