SEXUALITY
WE BELIEVE GOD CREATED SEX AS A GIFT TO BE ENJOYED IN THE COVENANT OF MARRIAGE AND THAT GOD INTENDS SEXUAL EXPRESSION TO OCCUR ONLY BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN WHO ARE MARRIED TO EACH OTHER.
We affirm that our understanding and expression of sexuality has been frustrated by sin, leading to a cycle of shame, abuse and exploitation. We believe Christ restores what sin has frustrated. For His own purposes, including our great joy, God designed sexual expression and grounded it in the covenant of marriage. Sexual expression outside the biblical definition of marriage in any manner, including but not limited to adultery, homosexuality, premarital sex, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, masturbation and pornography, is contradictory to God’s design as revealed in the Scriptures.
