THE CHURCH
WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH IS THE REDEEMED COMMUNITY OF GOD AND EXISTS GLOBALLY AND LOCALY.
The church is the Body of Christ, consisting of all Christians in all times and in all places. The church is gathered and governed by Christ. It is both local and universal, united in Christ for all time and expressed within a committed community of believers pursuing God’s glory, submitting to God’s Word and seeking to make the gospel known through witness and testimony. Each believer is gifted and empowered by the Spirit of God to edify the church and pursue fellow believers towards Christ-like maturity. The Local Church functions autonomously, under the leadership of qualified pastors (elders) tasked by God to shepherd the people of God according to the Scriptures.
