ABOUT SOJOURN KIDS

Children matter to Jesus.   We want every child to experience God's love  and learn to love him in return.  We seek to provide a safe and engaging environment where your child can grow in their knowledge of God and to celebrate the good news that through the person and work of Jesus they can experience the joy of being known by Him.  

ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
WE HAVE SEVEN ENVIRONMENTS THAT ARE DESIGNED WITH YOUR CHILD IN MIND.

Babies—0-15 months
Toddlers—16 month-35 months
3’s class—3 year olds
Preschool—4 years-transitional 5’s
K-1st— Kindergarten-1st grade
2nd-3rd—grades
4th-5th—grades

 

 

KIDS VOLUNTEER TRAINING

We are excited for the launch of our
new Kids  environments this September.
We are hosting a training for our amazing 
volunteers every Tuesday evening in

SAFE  

We believe every child should be and should feel safe at Sojourn.  The policies below help us ensure that every child is safe.


KNOWN  

We can't be safe without being known.  The policies below exist to ensure both safety and relationship.  We don't just want to know that your child is in attendance, we want to know you and your child personally.

 

CHECK-IN. 

Each child must be checked in by their parent before entering Sojourn Kids.
There are caring adults ready to welcome the family before your child enters our Sojourn Kids.  We want you to feel confident that your child is known by their teacher and that your child will be cared for during the service.   To help us ensure that every child is known, we ask that every parent check-in each child in before entering the Sojourn Kids environment. 

Check-In opens 15 minutes before each Service and is located in the Elm Street Lobby.

Every child who is check-in receives a badge that allows our team to learn your child's name, quickly identify allergies and health concerns and ensures that every child is picked up by the right person.


CHECK-OUT.    


Each child must be picked up by their parent from their classroom.
We know that our culture lives in the rush.  As families connect with friends, gather their things and head out to lunch, we want to make sure that every child is safe in the transition and doesn't head home with the wrong person.   

No child will be allowed to leave with a sibling, cousin, peer or family friend.  We ask that you pick up your child and present the check-in slip that corresponds to the child's check-in badge so that our team is confident that every child is leaving with the right person.

Q. What if I need to leave and want to ask a friend to pick up my child?  If you need to leave the service and are not able to get your child please let the Kids Check-In Team or our Kids Director know and hand your child's check-in slip to the adult who is picking up your child from their classroom. 

 

KIDS CHECK IN

Kids Check-In begins 15 minutes before each worship service.
1st Service, Kids Check-In begins at 9:00am.
2nd Service, Kids Check-IN begins at 10:45am.

Kids Check-In is located in the Main Lobby near the Auditorium entrance.
